How much does the prawn suit drill arm do? ›

The Prawn Suit Drill Arm is also able to damage fauna; it deals less damage than the default arm, but has an improved hit rate and a considerably wider target area. The first second deals 28 damage, the second 32 damage, for an average of 30 damage per second.

Because the Prawn Suit's jump jets have limited range, the Grappling Arm is a good way to extend the suit's reach. It's especially useful for keeping the Suit in place while drilling for Large Resource Deposits attached to cave walls.

To begin, you will need to find four Prawn Suit Fragments. These are located in the Koppa Mining Site. To find out how to enter the site, check the Finding the Koppa Mining Site page. Once inside, you will find several Prawn Suit Fragments have spawned on the levels of the mine.

The Reaper Leviathan will also grab the Prawn Suit. If it succeeds, the damage incurred will only be around 20-30%. Even in Creative Mode, Reaper Leviathans will still jumpscare and grab Seamoths and Prawn Suits.

The Prawn Suit Torpedo Arm is an upgrade for the Prawn Suit. When equipped, it replaces one of the Prawn Suit's standard arms with a magazine-fed double-barrelled torpedo launcher. This allows for rapid firing of two shots.

There are many possible attachments for the prawn suit, but the most common pairing for fighting will be one drill arm and one grapple arm.

Trivia. The Prawn Suit used to use the Seamoth MK1, MK2 and MK3 depth modules, before it was changed to only use the Prawn Suit Depth Module MK2 and MK1. An unused MK3 version can be found in the game's code.

For better or worse, every vehicle has its pros and cons. It actually is possible to beat the game without the Cyclops and instead use the Prawn Suit, but it might be even more of a hassle, as it has less storage space and moves much more slowly (unless you're skilled with the grappling arm).

Prawn suit is heat resistant, but it still takes heavy damage when in contact with the super heated exposed lava surfaces.

Remember to harvest any Diamond you see, as the Drill Arm recipe requires four Diamond, one Lithium and five Titanium. The Drill Arm can be crafted in the Fabricator or the Vehicle Upgrade Console. Once you have the Drill Arm you can return to the Koppa Mining Site for resource mining.

The Sea Dragon Leviathan can deal massive damage to a Prawn Suit very quickly; the swat attack does 13% damage to the suit, the Sea Dragon Leviathan also has the ability to grab the vehicle in its mouth and deal 10-20% damage before releasing it; it often swats immediately after.

Upgrade Modules for the Prawn Suit are placed in a panel on its top left. The Prawn Suit has four slots for Upgrade Modules as well as two purple-colored slots specifically for arm upgrades. Upgrade Modules to the Scanner Room are placed in a panel inside the Scanner Room.
