C2C Striped Rug
The C2C Striped Rug crochet pattern is a true WOW of a pattern — and it’s FREE! Handmade by Raine designed this area rug to show off both the smooth and textured sides of Lily Sugar ‘n Cream Scrub Off. It is also a great chance to learn moss stitch. Raine made this by sewing four squares together, but if you wanted to make it larger you could add even more squares.
Grandma’s Bowl Cozy
Tired of scorching your fingers whilst sliding your soup bowl out of the microwave? Grandma’s Bowl Cozy by Hayley Quinn is seriously life-changing. And unlike other bowl cozies, this one has handles! Put it on your bowl before you put it in the microwave and the heat won’t touch your hands. If you are the sort of person who eats dinner on the couch rather than at the table, it’s also great for when your bowl is too hot to handle. If you are a beginner who wants to try working three-dimensionally, and you don’t want to make a hat, this is the perfect project. Important: This must be made out of 100% natural fibres (such as cotton or wool) to go in the microwave; it will melt or catch fire otherwise! If you want to elevate your dining experience, use Wool and the Gang’s Shiny Happy Cotton.
Easy Crochet Can Cozy
The Easy Crochet Can Cozy serves multiple purposes: it will keep the drinks in the can colder whilst also preventing them from leaving moisture rings on your table. They’re also good for the beach or for camping — make them in the morning and use them in the afternoon! There are variants for regular and slim cans. It’s a great one for Lily Sugar ‘n Cream.
Hanging Nest Basket
Wish you had a spot for your housekeys, your sunnies, your garage clicker, and all those other things you need as you go out the door? The Hanging Nest Basket by Amanda Corvello Designs will make your life 25% more organized. The little loop will fit anywhere, so you could also use it on your child’s desk drawer knob for pens and pencils, a bathroom hook for toiletries…the possibilities are endless! It includes modifications so you can use it as a basket for a potted plant or as a two-handled basket, so it’s very versatile. She designed this around Lily Sugar ‘n Cream.
Wine Bottle Cozy
If you’re bringing wine to someone’s place for dinner, make it extra special with the Wine Bottle Cozy by Marni Reecer. It works up quickly in Lily Sugar ‘n Cream, and the result is truly lovely! It also protects your bottle from harm, in a much more attractive way than a paper bag!

Crochet Flower Hot Pad
The Flower Hot Pad has been popular for years, because it is practical and sophisticated. Most people report that they’ve used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream to make it. The only problem with using this as a hot pad under your casserole dishes and pie plates is that it’s the sort of thing that you want to show off! But that means you won’t mind having it sit in the middle of the table or counter waiting for that warm dish to come.
Peeking Cat Butt Coaster
The Peeking Cat Butt Coaster by Upper Crust Crochet may not be classy, but it sure is hilarious. When your cup is on the coaster, you’ll see a cat peeking up at you, its tail coiled around the other side. And when you lift your cup…well, if you’re a cat owner it’s a view you’ve seen many a time.If your cats are multicoloured, this might be a good one for DMC’s Happy Cotton.
Simple Dishcloth and Spiral Scrubbie
MyPoppet has a wonderful pair of free patterns with the Simple Dishcloth and Spiral Scrubbie. Both patterns are fairly simple, and you can make both out of the same yarn if you would like to colour-coordinate your kitchen or bathroom. She recommends making these with Lily Sugar ‘n Cream Original or Scrub Off. In fact, she’s tested both. She advises that the Original is hard wearing and will last for years. Scrub Off is great for cleaning cloths and exfoliating washcloths, and while it can be a challenge to work with, it produces great results.
The Lengthy Loofah
Scrub up all of those hard-to-reach parts of your back with the Lengthy Loofah crochet pattern! Use this to scrub off all of the dry skin and sunscreen after a day at the beach – then throw it in a washing machine to clean it up! This is an excellent use of the scrubby, nubbly properties of Lily Sugar ‘n Cream Scrub Off.

Daisy Cottage Designs has made a simple to crochet bath pouf that you can make in about an hour. It’s the perfect thing for sudsing yourself up in the bath. It calls for a cotton yarn like Lily Sugar ‘n Cream Original, or use Lily Sugar n Cream Scrub Off for extra exfoliation.
Social Textures Dishcloth
The Social Textures Dishcloth design by The Crochet Crowd was inspired by a baby blanket design. It uses the textures of Lily Sugar ‘n Cream Scrub Off to make a dishcloth great for cleaning off the toughest grime, while also pretty enough to show off (look at that edging!)
